PMs are from Mars, BAs are from Venus
PMs are from Mars, BAs are from Venus
Cheryl Lee, PMP, PMI-PBA, CBAP
Learning Objective of Presentation:
To be able to define business analysis, identify the relationship between project management and business analysis, and understand the importance of this relationship for agile teams.
Description of Presentation:
Have you ever been on a project where it felt like your cohort was from a completely different planet? Although the perspectives and focus of BAs and PMs may be different, we need each other to deliver successful projects. According to PMI research, “successful projects require a high level of collaboration between both the project, program, or portfolio manager and business analyst. Risks are minimized, and project and product success rates improve when these critical roles are aligned and operate in partnership. When this alignment is missing, project performance, customer satisfaction, team morale, and the end product will be adversely impacted.”
Join us as we discuss the following:
- What is business analysis?
- What is the relationship between project management and business analysis?
- Why is this relationship arguably more important for agile teams?
